Mass market diving? No thank you! Here in Aqaba most of our divers are individuals and small groups. Whether you are a novice on your first diving holiday or over 5,000 dives experience, Aqaba has something for you.
Seastar offer you 3 choices of diving:
• Shore diving with from a variety of different sites
With superb fringing reef systems leading to coral pinnacles and drop offs teeming with life, all easily accessed direct from the shore, Aqaba is the ultimate shore dive destination.
Just one step into the water and the reef system starts immediately. At most dive sites you are in 40 – 50m depths within 50m of the shore. With no long surface swims, you are among the reef system from the start of your dive until the end, even on your safety stop!
• Boat diving from the largest dive boat in Aqaba
If you’re looking for a boat dive, Seastar has the perfect choice. Our own 19m (6 m beam) dive boat is comfortable and roomy.
• Club Murjan house reef diving with 3 reef systems
Dive when you wish. The 3 house reefs at Club Murjan allow you to dive, morning, lunchtime and afternoon. They also make excellent night dive sites.
Diver Continuing Education
Except for altitude, cave and ice diving, you can fulfil your continuing education requirements at Seastar in Aqaba and with a resident PADI Course Director we can offer IDC’s to match your schedule. Courses start on the day you require making it easy for you to plan your holiday activities.
Dive photo opportunities
From the professional to the budding amateur; world class photographs to underwater holiday snaps, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly are all to be found in Aqaba’s reef system.
Our Marine Species
Frog Fish abound here. Toad Fish, Spanish Dancers, Ghost Pipe Fish, Harlequin Shrimp, Morays galore, Seahorses, Turtles, Nudibranchs, Barracuda … the list is endless. And at each site a host of Golden Antheas, Lion Fish and more awaits you. Whale sharks can be heard and often seen in June and July and you may be lucky with the occasional Manta in February and March!
Wrecks
Wrecks in the area include the now legendary Cedar Pride which, at a maximum depth of 25m, even Novice divers can enjoy. For TEC divers, there are sunken barges, including the Taiyong, with more waiting to be discovered. Plus, which other country can boast a Tank as a dive site - and only in 6m! A great safety stop and snorkel site that is now well colonised.
So, whether you’re an experienced diver or dive for fun, on holiday or looking to gain experience and training, or you just like to snorkel, Aqaba’s reefs have something to offer and are available for all.
