Dive Red Sea authors
Simon Rogerson
is editor of DIVE, Britain’s best selling scuba magazine. He first
experienced the Red Sea expedition to dive with sharks at the Brother
Islands: After swimming with six different species of shark and
countless reef fish, he declared himself a Red Sea addict and has since
filled two passports with visa stamps from the region. A full time
diving writer and photographer, his work is also published regularly in
the Sunday Times, among other publications. He has dived in 35
different countries, visiting all the continents in the process. In
2005, he was named ‘Editor of the Year’ in the Periodical Publishers
Association awards.
John McIntyre made his name as a BBC
television journalist, sending reports from trouble-spots all over the
world. A highly experienced diver, he now specialises in underwater
productions, including the DVD 'To Dive For: The Red Sea' and 'Sharks:
The Big 10'. He has been visiting the Red Sea for 20 years and has
completed thousands of dives, mostly in Egyptian waters. He writes
regularly on diving and is the author of several books on the subject,
in addition to working behind and in front of the lens for high-profile
television productions.
